sorry this has got nothing to do with cycling and just a passing reference to cars : "honk if you're a as full of hatred as we are!".

How do you get to the stage where you're  prepared (superficially at least - you can bail out any time) to live like asylum seekers often live in order to oppose them.

RAF Scampton campaigners will 'fight to bitter end' despite council losing asylum seeker bid

The High Court ruled that the plans are not unlawful

A new twist on the parkco fines here and driver victimhood evolves to meet the challenge:

“For them to restrict my freedom of movement to a car park even though I’m a paying customer is disgusting really. If I’d known I couldn’t even cross the road I wouldn't have done it. I certainly don’t want to be paying a £100 fine when I’ve spent money there."

Man parked at Gloucester Peel Centre hit with £100 fine 'for crossing the road to get cash out' despite shopping at Iceland's Food Warehouse and Burger King

Car park "scam" is AI health nudge

There have been a number of reports of innocent drivers being signed up to gym memberships and sent veg box deliveries.  One driver claims that a bike was delivered to his home a week after he visited a car park 400 yards away from home.

In fact, this is a cheeky health promotion initiative by NHS Healthy West of England.  A spokesman told us, "in areas where we know diet and obesity are major mortality factors, we are using AI to help point people to more healthy alternatives.

"In the car park initiative, drivers arriving to pick up a takeaway, a bottle of Johnnie Walker, cigarettes and a scratchcard, which is to say most of them, are assessed for their BMI and appropriate interventions are signposted through the parking app."

Motorists block road to save runaway chihuahua

Drivers happy to protect a dog, but will also hurl abuse if they think a cyclist might slow them down slightly - does that mean cyclists are worth less than dogs?

The man who will forever be known as Buck Tarbrush (to anyone who's seen the movie version of Porridge) demonstrating why failure to stop should, as is the case in many US states, carry an automatic assumption that the driver was avoiding being drink/drug tested and receive the same punishment. Smashing into a line of parked cars, driving off with one of them still attached to his vehicle, either having a serious medical episode (which he would presumably have declared in mitigation) or pissed out of his skull.

Car advocates, Top Gear devotees, rally and F1 fans, the whole lot of you, here's just a single example what it all means in reality.  This is what you are in favour of.

Now imagine all these people getting together and producing their combined narrative - week after week month after month, getting louder than the car and oil industry.

If urine counts as 'litter', then logically that would apply whether it be human or e.g. canine urine.  Are dog owners required to pick up their dog's urine?

Some critics claim not enough people cycle along Beaulieu Road to justify a cycleway. They also dispute the need for a new pedestrian crossing so close to an existing one.

Mr Patel said: "If the county council has got money to spare maybe they should use it to subsidise our business rates or invest in more police to deal with crime and anti-social behaviour."

Subside your business rates, Mr Patel?  That hardly seems a fair use of public money …

I wish we had politicians that wanted social justice rather than competing with each other to make things as unfair as possible and stacking the odds against the poor and vulnerable.

Maybe the French were onto something with the guillotine and it's about time that we instilled some fear into the ruling class.
