So, got into work a couple of Fridays back, and a colleage mentioned that he was playing Zelda Breath of the Wild, he had only just got off the plateau, I was jealous, I remembered the joy, wonder, frustrations, effort required and the sense of acheivement with it all. And the size.
So I popped onto Metacritic to see if there were any good new games on the Switch, (I'm not getting Paper Mario) and there, on 85% was Lonely Mountains : Downhill, and there top of the reviews was one from the hatefilled Guardian
https://www.theguardian.com/games/2020/may/14/lonely-mountains-downhill-...
Don't read the comments, usual terrible Guardian anti cycling diatribes.
Well with reviews like that how could I not?
So when getting home and updating the Switch (it had been a while) I purchased and downloaded. It is available on most formats by the way.
It's throwing your little man down a mountain, with birdsong and the crunching of tyres on gravel. The physics are good and the crashes are many and horrific. It's not a huge game, but it is only £18. The night riding is fantastic.
I am very glad I bought it.
I have just upgraded my first bike and I want more...

Just out of curiosity after what you said about the hate-filled comments, I had a look, I could only see one mountain-biking one and it wasn't really that bad... perhaps all the really nasty ones got removed?
I'll need to buy a new pc !
I did want to post a picture capturing the feeling of zooming down a cliff face, but this image seemed more appropriate.
