New bike Reccomendation

Hi all you knowledgable folk,

Last year I bought a second hand Giant Defy 1 2015 just to try and see if I got back into road cycling. Since then have loved it and as such now have a cycle to work voucher for 1500 that I would like some recommendations.

More into sportive and endurance than racing. Also appreciate at this price point seems to be either alu frame with Ultegra or carbon and 105.

I am 5 foot 11 Inside leg 30 so need some size guidance also

Any advice welcome

Thanks

Another Defy? Seems to be there or there abouts at the top of the list for the endurance/sportif category and you know you like it.

I've ridden 2 Defys, my first foray into road cycling with an alu model Defy 2 I think it was I got for £250 then a 2016 Adv 1 (£1400 at the time) which I still ride today.

Ive been toying with upgrading and was thinking of a slightly more aggressive set up like the Ribble Endurance SLR. If you wanted slightly more aggressive I think the Trek Emonda is a good shout but not from personal experience.

At that price point you can't really go wrong with the Canyon Endurace.  If you spent a couple of hundred quid more you could get one with Ultegra.
Plus their sizing tool on their website will help you get the right fit.
No idea what the supply is like on these at the moment, seems to be tight everywhere else

I should have read that more carefully 1 Two other options to look at would be Trek Emonda ALR, which everyone raves about or a Ribble R872 which gives you a bit of room to customise?

Hi not sure if you know but I've been told by CycletoWork scheme that you can get a Canyon. The one caveat is you can't add cash to the voucher. If you email CycletoWork scheme they can explain. 👍
