4. Brompton stockpiles £1m in parts as contingency for “shit hits the fan” No Deal Brexit
Folding bicycle maker Brompton has leased a warehouse near Heathrow Airport where it has stockpiled parts worth £1 million to minimise disruption to its supply train in the event of a ‘No Deal’ Brexit. The news comes as the company files its annual report(link is external) and accounts for the year to 31 March 2018, with turnover rising 11 per cent to £36.1 million.

Magistrates in a Norfolk town have questioned whether it is worthwhile to prosecute a cyclist alleged to have been riding his bicycle while drunk and have asked the Crown Prosecution Service to reconsider the case before it goes to trial.

9. Gloucestershire Police officer allegedly tells cyclist "Maybe you should consider trading in your bike for a Hummer" following shocking close pass by a coach
Many police forces in the UK have adopted policies to crack down on drivers who pass other vehicles too closely, such as Operation Close Pass by West Midlands Police - however it appears that hasn't filtered through to Gloucestershire Police, who reportedly told cyclist Matt Coldrey that the coach driver in this clip had not committed an offence because the cyclist and coach continued on their journeys smoothly - and a police officer on the phone also oddly suggested he trade in his bike for a hummer.

For a while, we've had a pretty good inkling that a 12 speed road groupset is coming soon from SRAM after spotting a 12 cog cassette on a number of pro bikes... and now our eagle eyes have noticed this PDF(link is external), that suggests the new road groupset could be both the first to go electronic, and the the first to be 1x and 2x compatible.
