"The car was not stuck on the kerb and no rocking or pushing of the car was required."
so a non-story really
Probably not as they'd swamp the market - you can go to any scrapyard and pick up completely unused ones from BMWs there.
Well no, I said you can see how drivers cause problems for themselves there, I only highlighted the road to show that's the direction the wall bashing drivers come from.

Sort of… I took 'taken into custody' meant 'arrested for'. You can be arrested for being unfit to drive through … and one evidence is obtained, be charged with both aspects of the offence (drink and drugs).
I can only see this problem getting worse - imagine having to cope with this AND the HC changes.
I've got a set of Audi A.3 brake pads and main instrument cluster for sale - unused.

I can't look. Gist?
Yeah - fair enough - for some reason I had in my head that the original quote said 'charged with'.
BCP are crap
No one uses the cycle lanes
A waste of money
used?
don't you mean "mint in box"?
Doesn't that mean it's a better width than most cycle lanes? Two or three alongside each other simply means that they can comfortably overtake.
65 comments - mostly about masks; very few saying there should be a consequence for whoever caused this.
Apparently that was joke.
I particularly liked the no entry sign in the photo.
"I knew I'd have to pay up. You have savings for a reason, I guess. I'm going to park on the roads because I don't need to be on the driveway.
"I never start my car [when I'm] outside and make sure it's in neutral. I keep moving the gear stick left to right, left to right."
Lucky it wasn't a person.... to state teh bleeding obvious
It's bright facking red FFS. How on earth ...
words (almost) completely fail me
I wonder what it was that moved this one up from the local rags?
Don't forget to scroll down as there's more: from a driver who can't find reverse.
The headline reads, "Car Drives Past Road Closed Sign Into Hole". All they needed to do was change one letter; "Car Driven Past Road Closed Sign Into Hole".
He was actually convicted and banned.
It's in the U.S. which is even more firmly under the thumb of the automobile, so I have low expectations on how their media reports crashes.
I've read this article a couple of times and I think, from reading between the lines, that there are secret self driving van trials taking place in Cornwall and that the machine learning is at the tantruming toddler stage and the van threw itself into the hedge. I can't see any other explanation given that no driver is mentioned.

Agreed, it's not a building but it's the same idea. This is on the bridge over the M6 at Holme, N Lancashire. The woman driver was turning left onto the bridge and totalled the car on the sturdily built end of the barrier which appeared completely undamaged. How is it that so many nut-jobs congregate on one brand? Are they tested before they're allowed to buy, and barred unless in the bottom quartile for sense and intelligence and top quartile for psychopathy, aggression and narcissism?
Town mayor's 'momentary lapse of concentration' caused crash
we haven't had a a momentary lapse of concentration for a while. A reminder, as always, to fit a bell and wear hi viz.

When buildings hit back... https://www.eadt.co.uk/news/brick-wall-collapses-outside-framlingham-chu...
Never understood why they still let cars park there as they are always a pita blocking that road, and wouldnt surprise me in the least that someone reversing in to a space hit the wall and weakened it enough so it just collapsed later.
We're on the wrong side of the tracks again here. Driving is so hard. Gloucestershire Live scooped by Kent.

Sorry, no building involved here, but hitting 17 cars is impressive as is the driving ability: https://twitter.com/davenewworld_2/status/1460257234743611401

How come everyone's overlooked this case of someone crashing a car into the most famous building in the country?
