Car crashes into building - please post your Local news stories

Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes...

I just don't remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it's irresponsible.

'A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

"It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment." '

"Mrs Powers says she no longer feels safe walking along the road." That's where we're increasingly getting to now.

Calls for speed camera in St Peter's Park Road, Broadstairs, after multiple crashes within months

so three in one here: "The wall has been hit by cars on September 24, October 27 and December 14."

An Audi A3 ploughed into The Crown pub on the High Street in the village of Albrighton, Shropshire, at about 9.30 pm last night. Complete twat.

Unfortunately not buildings but look at the state of the car that should have only been doing 40mph max before the collision.

I once heard a really funny joke about a collapsing bridge - I still can't get over it.

This Public House must be built out of magnets given the number of cars that have crashed into it. No mention of any drivers being involved. Apparently it is a problem with the road.

Ha, I don't think the fireman's tape will stop anyone, sat nav says GO.

It has been a shockingly wet October, that first weekend featured the wettest day on record, and it has rained quite a lot since, especially on Saturday.

I cannot give you a Like for the other story, nasty piece of work, but a fair sentence.

4 times over the limit, but it's the "Ninja" bollard to blame.

CYCLIST GHOULS GLOAT OVER INNOCENT DRIVERS' MISFORTUNES

A sick-minded website ran by the cycling Stazi group "Cycling Embassy of Great Britain" has published a horrific collection pictures of car accident scenes - see pages 12,13, 14 and 16. Headlined "Audis in Houses", the collection has been criticised for showing images where the Audi has not actually crashed into any building...

My favourite is from March 2018 - the car has gone through someone's window, but you can see the telly is still on - hope no lasting harm.

The trade plate has been slung on the dashboard and only half of it can be seen

I wish they would take a similar interest in all the cars happily displaying deliberately obscured number plates. I see a few every day, and my journey is seldom more than 5 miles. Some are so emboldened by the lack of police interest that they have ditched the front plate together, for a sleek stealth profile.

Didn't realise the bridge fee has such a wide net

'crews used small tolls and an electric saw'.

Sorry the layout of this thread has itself become a car crash. I have written to our new Editor, Mr Sexty to ask if they can disentangle the wreckage. I hope it's not a write-off.

Was there any response from Mr Sexty?

Apparently you could hear the crash for hours.

Well if you're not restricting it to houses then we're gonna have a field day!

Two self-driving cars left the road last weekend, according to the local rag:

"a car rolled onto its side in the early hours of the morning, but the driver was nowhere to be found."

"A woman was taken to hospital after the car she was in rolled into a ditch late at night near Market Drayton."

Six months is too low for that extended drive of beyond reckless. Lucky he didn't kill people.

2 year ban is a joke.

"While our beautiful pub is looking significantly worse for wear, we have been very lucky; nobody was hurt in the incident, and everyone got out safely."

Probably not the only one, eh?

They showed the carnage caused by the "accident" on South Today, I think it was to show the public the actual 4 dead ponies, very rare that, maybe the motorists might slow down a bit, or really look where they are going.

Don't worry though, the good poeple of the New Forest will be blaming cyclists for all of their ills in a bit...

Looks like someone is videoing their CCTV camera (there's a timestamp and "outside" shown at the top), so they most likely had the incident recorded and didn't know how to get the video from their CCTV onto Twitter so just used their phone.

Clearly a typo - should read small trolls and an electric saw.
properly trained, they're very good at effecting rescues in confined spaces: the fire brigade employ about a dozen of them. No reports of anyone being eaten for supper since 2016.
