Your seminal point has me stumped.
Well, you've got to hand it to them
Can they stop cyclists peeing in my hedge?
I am fed up with these cretins in lycra pulling off teh road & doing their toilet in my property!
I caught one in July.
Next time I will detain them!

the article is mildly interesting - e-bikes tearing up the new forest and it mentions car parking too.
But it was kev's comment I wanted to highlight, dwelling as he presumably does, in a lake of cyclist urine...
Don't pee near the houses, people! Kev is still smarting about "that incident" 4 months ago.

Years ago I lived in the centre of Bristol. Over the weekends, we'd regularly find used condoms hanging from the trees at the end of the garden (which overhung our fence and onto the pavement).
I don't think they were from cyclists, though.
Bus stop destroyed after crash in Basingstoke last night
https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/18758344.bus-stop-destroyed-crash-basin...
An unnecessary strain on the NHS ?
That bus stop should have been wearing hi-viz. It's no wonder that poor motorist was unable to avoid the bus stop colliding with them.
Ho hum, another Bristol (Hengrove) one: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/diner-injured-after-car-crashes-4567406
BMW veers off roundabout, ploughs into building. 11.30 am on Monday, a dry, bright day in Penrhyn Bay, near Llandudno (30mph limit).
The owner of the shop was not surprised, quoted as saying "I often hear the screech of brakes and brace myself, easily between five and 10 times a day."
https://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/car-ploughed-shop-miss...
If he's getting that many close calls every day, then maybe the road is too dangerous for him to have his shop there. Honestly, why don't these people take responsibility for their own safety and move their building? It's all well and good saying that they have a right to have their shop there, but that's no good if you end up dead.
30mph limit according to the Council woman
Shame there isn't a strava equivalent to show it is potentially an accident hot spot. But you do have to laugh at her naiveity.
Edit: In most cases with roads like this, markings on the roads with the raised bumps and lots of large Slow Down signs are used. As of 2018, Street view shows one set of Gradient warnings, One to mention Roundabout and nothing on the roads bar a no entry sign at the bottom. I would argue the council are definitely not doing enough to warn if that is still the case.
I edited my post shortly afterwards after spotting that it was in fact 30 mph.
The road descending the hill is two lanes and IMHO should be one. Haven't driven it for a long time now but it's easy to pick up speed if you're not paying attention to the roundabout signs, the huge chevrons etc. The uphill carriageway is briefly two lanes then narrows to one for some distance before the roundabout at the top. Doesn't make sense.
Is there chevrons on the road now? As i pointed out, nothing on that road two years ago.
I've not needed to go over Little Orme and through PB for a number of years now. Will be driving along the A55 later today but not sure I really want to go out of my way just to check...
Maybe the local council should install some chicane barriers in the road?
Call me cynical, but if a driver fails to use simple observation to see the brdige is too low, why would they take any notice of an audible warning?

If they are serious, then it needs to be linked to an automatic braking system that can't easily be turned off.
This bit of sarcasm's quite good for a local news report:

Heart Attack at the wheel is my suspicion. I just hope the others pull through.
Hope so.
Bristol again, although this isn't a building: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/driver-two-times-drink-drive-4511481
Un point, seulment.
Who's winning so far?
It's early days
From the picture, that looks as though someone has decided to protect a signpost with two seemingly effective metal bollards.
Needed too...
motorized mayhem brevet card
score two points for car collides with building Photo story - one bonus point if it's an Audi; one bonus point if the driver left the scene
one point for car left the road (e.g. ended up in ditch)
daily traffic mayhem: for three stories from one newspaper in the same 24 hour period score four points, (five points for four stories, and on) - all comers - speeding, uninsured, drink/drug driving, collisions
LTNs and other new restrictions : score four points if "my two mile journey now takes x minutes" longer, three for three miles, two for four; bonus point for emergency services access alleged to be compromised, school coaches, etc
Four extra points if Scocrati or Booboo can be enticed to make a negative comment e.g. "it was a cyclist's fault" or bikes should be road taxed/insured/riders licenced/ banned
(no serious injuries must be reported to have accrued.)
prizes : 1st a day cycling in Wandsworth; 2nd two days
Bonus points for removal of any human agency from the reporting?
I was expecting by now a picture of a red squirrel with a little hat and his press pass tucked in the band, and a little notebook/ pencil...
Just seen this: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/local-news/crash-near-clevedon-pier-cyclist-4519163
Wishing him a speedy recovery
the bridges at Manningtree and Needham Market are forever being hit and cause delays to the trains as Network Rail have to assess the damage, but this was a new one this week https://www.eadt.co.uk/news/van-stuck-under-railway-bridge-in-pound-hill...
but even higher bridges struggle to avoid collisions when youve got a van on to top deck of a vehicle transporter
https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/news/bramford-road-ipswich-car-transporter...
and finally car ends up in a garden, youd have thought at some point they might have tried using the brakes having shot across a very wide road, pavement and then into the garden https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/news/car-crashes-into-garden-in-woodbridge...
