road legal why?
A CAR ended on its roof after a crash outside a New Milton school this afternoon (Monday).
Police were on the scene close to New Milton Junior School after the incident, which involved a Mazda.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said officers were called at 3.08pm, and minor injuries were reported.

Holidaymaker fuming after £100 fine writes song about parking firm
Grant was so annoyed he decided to poke fun at the parking operator with a song
On August 30, they drove down the road to Trevone Bay but after checking out the beachand the menu at the local cafe, the couple from Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, decided they'd rather return the next day.
Grant said that a month later he received a letter from St Columb-based Alliance Parking saying he owed £100 for leaving his car at the Trevone Bay car park for 11 minutes, even though he did not end up staying there.

Medway Council scrap free car parking on Mondays
Cllr Tris Osborne, the portfolio holder covering parking enforcement, said: “Unfortunately, due to the challenging financial situation we have found the council in, we are no longer able to continue the free parking Monday scheme that was introduced in April."
I guess if you're needing to save £2.70 on car parking, you're not going to be swelling the local shops' cofffers all that much.

Newington villagers call for A2 drivers to stop breaking 20mph limit after speed signs are vandalised

Interesting to see quite an extensive 20 mph zone in place, but I bet it took some doing. You can see the sense of the Welsh approach as for Restricted Roads it puts the boot on the other foot: drivers have to make the case: "how does your wish to go faster trump safety and local amenity? Why do you need to go faster?"
Opinion: With car insurance for youngsters almost £2,000 a year it’s time to reconsider the role of the e-scooter
Can someone write a bot that replies "wait 'til you hear about cars" to each BTL comment?
E scooters are a no- brainer.

£30m for a "one more lane will fix it" instal. Drivers have zero understanding of how much £££ is pumped into supporting them - I wonder when the next whinge-fest over a £1.8m cycle path will be.

I see they also re-jigged the indicator controls:
Those bell-shaped bollards don't mess about, do they?
Interesting. She may be railing against seatbelts, but at least acknowledges they're only necessary because of "speed maniacs and sheer bad drivers".
Naughty, naughty cars!
"Ah, medical episode, mind how you go sir"
It's a handy Omni-Dodge, which works for every occasion just like LancsFilth's 'only a momentary loss of concentration' (when the oncoming vehicle on the wrong side of the road hit me with the mirror) and ScotRozzer's 'he doesn't remember the incident so there's nothing we can do'. When the police can't be bothered, they'll accept anything

Senedd members abused over Wales' 20mph speed limit

You cannot stop us from coming into this car park
There's a challenge! Make sure you can stop them, is my suggestion- lockable bollard in the middle of the entrance should do it. Entitled parents are as much a pain as any other entitled group. We'll soon be into the season where the dreadful idle parents sit in cars outside Garstang Community Academy waiting for the idle offspring with the engine running, and blocking the pavements, the road, making bus-drivers' lives difficult etc
Good! They're turning on their spiritual siblings now! Perhaps they'll drive themselves extinct
getting broken link there - this looks to be same, but is it any better?

As far as I can recall, Guildford High Street has been car free on Saturdays since the seventies.
Sorry, this is a CCIB matter. And I have reported you this time to Police Scotland.
The sign in the car park just says 'young children', can't read the small print though and it might be more clearly defined in there.

That and if your car has a blowout on the motorway and your car flips...

Some legal offences just don't offend. In a massively overloaded world, the police find it easier to accept the driver "he's not dead* is he what's the problem?" / everything driving is trivial / isn't real crime line.
* oh he is - well, I don't remember anything / he deserved to die for not wearing hi-viz
If only there was something they could do
Yeah that's the one - looks like a trailing space got caught up in my link, sorry.
Guildford was an occasional Saturday shopping visit for me in the 1990s (going shopping was actually a thing back then, kids) and I remember a traffic-free High Street, but a very car-ey walk there from the station.
Guildford high street is closed to traffic at the following times:
Mon-Fri 11am - 4pm
Sat 9am - 6pm
Sun 12pm - 5pm
Bank holidays 9am - 6pm

My legal counsel insisted that it was "wedged" or "stuck" and not crashed.
My legal counsel also insisted that Police Scotland can go huff a bag of squirrel scat.
